Rrain is who we are. Without our rain, nothing would exist. Our rain gives life. All the brilliant colors, textures, and patterns make our world a very special place. A very intimate and cherished space. This space we call Rrain.

At Rrain, we value sustainability and conservation. We believe in supporting local and indigenous people of the world. We work with places like Vietnam, India, Ethiopia, and South Africa. We can preserve their unique culture and livelihood by showing the world their beautiful culture through introducing their unique handicraft. We also partner with businesses and organizations from all over the world that share similar values and beliefs. Our core belief is to raise and stabilize the incomes of small-scale craftsmen, textile workers, and artisans.

Our work in Vietnam keeps alive their ancient crafts. Our silks are central to Vietnamese textiles, dating back many centuries. We work with local villagers, who continue to weave and dye using traditional looms and methods passed on from generation to generation.

Our hemp is hand-woven, rare and labor-intensive, and is one of the most important traditions for the minority people of Vietnam. We work closely with local artisans to create textures that retain natural characteristics to produce unique, one-of-kind garments. The hemp we use is untreated and organic. We work with the hemp straight off the looms, giving the fabric a distinct "raw" quality.

Our Indigo is also another hallmark of Rrain. The indigo dyeing tradition spans many different countries in Southeast Asia. Our version pays homage, once again, to the work of the minority peoples in the Sapa region of northern Vietnam. Again, we believe in respecting the handmade tradition, so our garments have the stamp of history and the people. We love the imprint of the maker on the garment in a unique way.

We also have exquisite, handmade products such as pajamas, throws, blankets as well as home goods from India, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Our mission, which is also shared by our suppliers, is to create economic partnerships through the support of entrepreneurial efforts of talented, economically struggling people in the developing world. We want to promote well-made, functional, and artistic craft to contribute to the acknowledgment of Africa, as well as India, as a source of inspiration and design skills.

In closing, we believe that trees are essential to preserving our precious planet. We want to give back. Therefore, Rrain will give ten percent of our proceeds directly to plant trees to help heal our beautiful Earth.
